Healing Hands Institute says goodbye

Dear Massage Therapist,

We write this letter with great sadness. After 20 wonderful years of training professional massage therapists in the Tri-State area, Healing Hands Institute has been forced to shut our doors. It seems we, like many others, have fallen victim to current economic times. Overall business is down, enrollments have been at an all time low, operating expenses continue to spiral upward and while we, the owners have made significant cuts, they are not sufficient to keep HHI operating any longer.

It is with a heavy heart and much regret that we inform you that you will not be able to come visit Healing Hands Institute after this month.

So, what does this mean for you?

ALL SCHOOL RECORDS will be maintained by us for at least one year. Any transcript requests can be processed via email ( hhi@aol.com ). After that time, we will send education records to the State of NJ Department of Education/Labor and they will hold such records indefinitely. We have made “teachout” arrangements with local massage schools so our currently enrolled students will be able to complete their training in a timely manner without additional financial obligation. The Cortiva Institute in Hoboken and Institute for Therapeutic Massage in Haskell, NJ have accepted our students, giving them full credit for HHI completed courses.

We hope that you understand the unfortunate situation we have been faced with and please know that we exhausted all of our resources to continue providing you with your massage education, and being a resource to you in the industry. This decision has not come lightly and we wish for you only the best in the future. Thank you for your years of loyalty, friendship, and support. We will miss you.
