This class takes a creative approach to integrating specific Cranio Sacral protocols to facilitate healing. Students will learn, through demonstration and practice, to assist clients challenged by symptoms such as fatigue, sinus pressure, TMJ, reflux, constipation, and PMS.

Pre-requisite: Introduction to Cranio Sacral I

The instructor, Annette Joubert, is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist. As a graduate and staff member of the Transpersonal Center for Body Mind Studies, she has been integrating Cranio Sacral Techniques with Massage Therapy since 1993. She is a founding member of the International Association of Healthcare Practitioners. Her studies continue with The Upledger Institute and the work of Hugh Milne. Annette has been introducing Cranio Sacral Integration to students since 1997.


CLINICAL SPORTS MASSAGE CERTIFICATION with G. Schwander, LMT, NCMTB Part 1: April 17 & 18, 2010
32 CE Hours. Fee: $550 Time: 9am-6pm Part 2: May 15 & 16, 2010
This course will cover the benefits and effects of Sports Massage, Training and Conditioning Principles, Stretching and Range of Motion, Cramp Management, Problem Areas with Specific Sports, the Physiological Effects of Fatigue, Thermal Regulatory Dysfunction, Cryotherapy & the Soft Tissue Healing Process. By the end of the course, you will be able to recognize and treat Sprains, Strains, Plantar Fascitis, Achilles Tendonitis, ITB Syndrome, Piriformis Syndrome, Tennis & Golfer's Elbow, Rotator Cuff Tears and other common soft tissue injuries.

Please bring oil or lotion, 2 sheets, 2 towels & shorts.

PRE-REQUISITE: Graduate of Massage Therapy Program with a Minimum of 500 Hours

DEEP STRUCTURAL RELEASE OF THE HAMSTRINGS & IT BAND with G. Schwander, LMT, NCTMB April 19, 2010 8 CE Hours. Fee: $155 Time: 9am-6pm
This class will teach the theory and techniques for structural realignment of the body. This can enable you to integrate and combine the conscious awareness of body, mind and spirit to facilitate advanced states of healing. The intent of the treatments is to balance the body into alignment with its environment, freeing the energy flow that will enhance the body's physiological and psychological function.

During this workshop, we will review the anatomical structure of the Hamstrings and IT Band, learn
structural assessment for the area, learn the hands-on techniques and give and receive a two hour session. For the structural assessment and hands on work you should bring sheets and shorts.

About the Presenter:
Gary Schwander, LMT is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and the State of Florida as a continuing education provider. Gary has been practicing massage therapy since 1989 and teaching massage courses since 1992. Gary has served as a member of the AMTA National Sports Massage Education Council, as an Athletes' Medical Services Massage Therapist during the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games and as a member of the 2002 Winter Olympics Sports Massage Team. Gary has also worked in the NY Mets Rehabilitation Clinic in Port St.
Lucie, Florida and currently works with several professional athletes at The Galleria Athletic Club in Atlanta.


GERIATRIC MASSAGE & TOUCH with C. Chapman, RN, HNC, NCTMB April 19, 2010 7 CE Hours.

With increasing life expectancy, the growing aged population provides a viable client source for massage. Geriatric massage requires specific techniques to provide a safe, effective massage. In this workshop, you will learn techniques that may be utilized with all clients.
**Please bring oil/lotion, a pillow, two sheets, one bath towel and one hand towel.**

Instructor Cheryl Chapman is a Registered Nurse since 1965, & Certified in Massage Therapy & Bodywork since 1988. She is director of Professional Massage Therapy in Short Hills NJ where she has a private practice in Oncology, Mastectomy, Hospice, Healthy Breast, Pre-Post Natal, Baby & Infant,& Geriatric Massage. Before massage school Cheryl was a specialist in Oncology, Hospice Terminal care & Geriatric nursing. After graduation she saw a great need for massage & Cancer. In 1991 she taught the first Cancer training. Cheryl holds certifications in Shiatsu, Lymph drainage, Therapeutic Touch, Healing Touch, Reiki, Stone Therapy, & Cranio/sacral. She is past president of the NJ chapter AMTA & a well known lecturer & presenter at national conferences & conventions. CANINE MASSAGE, with R. Reich, MA, CMT April 24 & 25, 2010 14 CE Hours. Fee: $330 *** Space is Limited to 16 Participants…Register Early *** Time: 9am-5pm
This 14-hour program will give participants the ability & confidence to work with veterinarians & animal hospitals & the know how to incorporate canine massage into their private practices. In this course, you will gain an overview of the canine skeletal system, discuss canine behavior during massage, learn specific strokes & how to evaluate specific needs to tailor the massage accordingly.
